Acorn Ornament

Leaf and acorn top textured with silicone mats, acorn body texture created by pressing dough over wood grain stencil on top of foam- dough brushed with cocoa powder before removing stencil (texture is not very visible in photo), button made in mold, frozen and baked outside the mold.

This is such a great example of this challenge! Great job on the acorn

I love this idea for an ornament!  I could see a whole little tree decorated with these, and maybe some little squirrels to go with it!

How long, roughly, do you freeze the dough before removing from the mold?

I don't remember! It wasn't very long though. I left it in while I chilled another pan of cookies waiting to go in the oven.
