Amazing, incredible, wow!! The shadows and shading are just awesome And I think the most difficult part to getting a cookie looking perfect, you have mastered it! I too would love to see a video of how you do it! PLEASE!!

I also would like to realize videos about painting on cookies, the truth is that I am a disaster with the video camera. I'm going to try with my ipad. This bird could be too boring, it takes half an hour...I'd start with a butterfly: few minutes!

Oh my goodness! It looks like a real woodpecker has landed on the cookie! Your hand painted details are so realistic! This is a truly a amazing cookie! You definitely have my attention and admiration!

Bellissimo Evelin, proprio stupendo!

Ciao! Buone vacanze allora! Per dipingere devi usare Americolor in gel, asciugano subito e si stendono molto bene

This is absolutely incredible. The detail in your painting is amazing. I love the shadows you painted as if the bird is actually coming out of the (egg) cookie. I also love the beak peck holes. How clever.Seriously beautiful work.I have yet to try painting on a cookie.I thinned some icing and attempted it and the water ate away at the icing and made crevices. Would you consider explaining in a tutorial what methods you used? It would be a fun Post and I would love to watch it or at least read it with a series of photos.

Hi Robin! Edible colors are transparent and royal icing is made of sugar that melts if you touch it with water. Your brush must be only a little bit wet and try to use pure gel colors. If you want a deep red, for example, paint once the interested area then wait few minutes and when it is dried paint it again. To obtain shades and ligth colors just add water. I am working on a video about painting on RI, it is not a tutorial, just a demo....hoping it will be helpful I will edit it soon. You will see that it is easier and funnier than you think!
