Hi  my friends! I haven't been on CC very much of late and have missed you all!! I've been working on some family related cookies and still have my part time job for which I am more than grateful . There are more layoffs going on now and I'm praying that I'll make it through without being affected.

I love hummingbirds . One reason is that I think they are one of the most graceful birds ever. So delicate. I tried to paint a realistic looking hummingbird which was a dismal failure. Therefore, I went with the silhouette. LOL. I keep practicing with painting but can't seem to get the hang of it. Maybe some time down the road...

Oh, itโ€™s so nice to have you back, dear Carol! Your cookies are so beautiful! I love the colours you used, makes them very elegant and classy. Your hummingbirds are amazing! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Thanks a bunch my dear friend @Heather Bruce Sosa!! I really appreciate your kind and thoughtful comment . I love silhouettes and think they can look pretty classy in the right setting. Hopefully, I hit the mark with these . Blessings and hugs my dear โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Just amazing, love the birds โ™ฅ๏ธCongrats dear Carol

Thank you so very much my dear friend @Dolce Flo! I appreciate your sweet words more than you know โค๏ธโค๏ธ. Is everything going ok? You've been on my mind along with Evelin @Evelindecora, Tina @Tina at Sugar Wishes, Julia @Julia M. Usher and so many others who rely heavily on teaching. These are tough times for holding classes. I'm seeing some virtual classes popping up. Are you doing any of that? Not the same as in person, I know. But it would still give you the chance to stay in front of people. Once the pandemic is over you can perhaps get the virtual class participants to sign up for the live classes? Just a thought my dear...Hugs.

I'm just trying to get my next series of YouTube videos out; then I may start some interactive Zoom classes in early July. I have a feeling we won't be doing in-person classes here in the US much at all this year, and that online may be the only way to go in the foreseeable future. I wish people weren't giving away so many free demos right now, though; it's just going to make it harder for those who make their living from teaching to charge.

You are absolutely right Julia @Julia M. Usher! I've been asked several times about teaching and had been seriously contemplating it. With things as they are these days, in-person teaching may indeed be on the back burner for the rest of the year. The expectation of "free" or low priced Zoom classes may be difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. There's no way that Zoom, Skype or whatever can take the place of personal interaction with master cookie artists like  you.

Many of us have a keen interest in what direction classes will take moving forward. Wishing you only the very best!! Hugs...

Oh Carol, I already missed you... Nice that you are back. I like your birthday cookie set! Many Types of decoration I see! And the colors - pink and lilac - are sooo pretty! As always my cookie friend, it's a marvelous job! @Cookies Fantastique  โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜

Thank you so very much for your kind words dear Gabi @Icingsugarkeks!! I love this color combination as well. With the different saturation levels of pinks and purples you can have a different look and feel using the same basic color palette . It's always good to hear from you my sweet friend โค๏ธโค๏ธ

I actually think Zoom offers so many benefits to instructors and also some to students (the possibility for more learning in some ways). But, whether it's a class on Zoom or in-person, a substantial amount of prep (even if not baking cookies for every student) is required, and we as a community need to charge for that time. I will certainly do so on Zoom.

I agree! As I've not attended any Zoom class to date I'm eager to see how it works when Sugar Dot has the Covid-19 class next Saturday. Should be interesting!
