Pretty easy to see what my inspiration was for this challenge.  The plate and fork are fondant.  The "waffle" is sugar cookie, as are the bacon strips and butter pat.  I pressed  the dough in my waffle iron to get the shape and it baked perfectly.  I stained it with brown gel and vodka mixture just to get the light golden color.  The syrup is isomalt drizzled every so slightly (was afraid to get on the plate and melt it!).  This was really fun and I want to create more cookie illusions in the future. What a fun challenge!

Using a waffle press was a very smart idea − you showed us perfectly how to create a "waffle" cookie that looks just like the real thing. Also, nice work creating your butter patty, golden syrup and your bacon strips. Your fork looks equally impressive − the color, dimensional shape, and proportions are spot-on. I am glad you enjoyed participating in the challenge.
