For this week's cookie donation, I decided to go with cherries since they are in season.  Additionally, I had a busy week last week and knew I would be short on time so I wanted a design that was primarily royal icing transfers I could do in advance.  I made 150 cookies but need to make 400 cherries and 400 leaves to account for breakage and humidity related issues (I'm on the water and it is really, really humid!)  As expected, some cherries and some leaves are better than others.  Such is the case in real life too!
I used a cookies cutter from my Cookie Con swag bag so generously provided the lovely Julia Usher @Julia M. Usher.  It's intended to be a bear face (leaves are where the ears go, nose just above the cherries).  I cannot begin to explain the excitement from people when I showed the cookie and described the intended bear face.  It was as if I performed a miracle.  I had to keep reminding people that I didn't invent repurposing cookie cutters.  But I think some still think I have magic powers. ๐Ÿ˜‚cherries

I absolutely love cherries Lisa @LisaF!! The season is so very short here in Arizona so I try to eat as many fresh cherries as I can. LOL. What a treat for the lucky people who are receiving your yummy cookie art. You continue to produce a large number of cookies to donate every week. I don't know how you do it my dear!! You are amazing โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Lol.  I too have a fondness for cherries.  I tended to over indulge in them when I was a child and it never ended well. ๐Ÿ˜‚I've developed some restraint as I've aged but, admittedly, not enough!!!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜˜โค๏ธ
