Cookies for Food Distribution

These were last weeks cookies for the local food distribution.  I used royal icing transfers for the center, which definitely made the process a lot quicker.  With a 150 cookies to deliver each way, I keep experimenting with ways of having the nicest decorations completed over the shortest period of time (I want to cookies to remain as fresh as possible.)  Royal icing transfers have been such a wonderful thing to have.  I am also learning where I have to cut back.  For example, I had planned on piping individual petals to give more definition.  But in the end, I decided the amount of time and effort required to let the petals set up enough was not really practical for 150.  Similarly, I had originally planned on pipping yellow dots between the purple strokes but it just didn't happen.  All in all, I'm pleased.  It wasn't everything but it did help me have a more balanced week!Flower Power

My cookie friend Lisa, I see your lot of work but also your "learning process". That is it, right? !! Beautiful, Lisa! ❤️😘 @LisaF

Thank you dear Gabi @Icingsugarkeks.  Yes, I am going through quite the learning process.  I used to donate large batches of cookies to charities maybe once a month.  The weekly process is quite new to me.  I keep learning new things about technique, what works on a larger scale and what does not.  The people who eat them would probably enjoy them at any rate but I want them to look as nice as possible.  It definitely is a learning process!!  😘❤️

Oh, what beautiful flowers Lisa @LisaF. I just love that you're continuing with your labor of love. What a smart way to work in order to keep the time factor down to a more reasonable level. If only I could learn how to do that better. HaHa Awesome work my dear friend ❤️

Thank you so much my friend @Cookies Fantastique. This week I think I may have over corrected and bit off a bit too much at the beginning of the week. Compounded with all sorts of outdoor chores that needed my attention - I’m not feeling too skilled at time management at the moment. I’m hoping a good night sleep will set me straight. 😘❤️

Oh Lisa, I can well imagine just how much your thoughtful, and hard, work has meant to all recipients of your cookies. They are all beautiful! For me, seeing the smile on a recipient's face is one of the greatest joys of decorating cookies. I miss so many of those "first moments" when a client opens a box from "Cookies Fantastique". But I do hear from people throughout the U.S. that the cookies were "a hit" or some such wonderful word. Your gifts are being received in exactly the same way, dear Lisa @LisaF!! You are so very giving...hugs ❤️❤️
