When thinking about this challange I tried to imagine themes that revolve around the muted tones cookies have when they are undecorated and dyed. Steam punk gears were my first images to come to mind.  First I used silicon cookie molds with the cameo, and the small stamped flower design squares (baked in the molds), Second I used a Diet Pepsi can to create a cutter and stopped by the hardware store for nuts and bolts and washer which I molded the interior of with. Third I hand molded the cast iron gate and used lids of markers and piping tips to create shapes inside different gears. I borrowed one gear cutter from a dear friend (thanks @ REBECCARCHITECT) varying it's inside with hand made and store bought cutters! I dyed some of the dough, painted some, used luster dust for metalic finish on some of the gears and bolts and painted the bricks, using RI for the mortar on the brick wall. I had a blast! <3

Kim you've created a work of art. Your method of obtaining the shapes and molde is impressive.  You always have a little surprise on your postings and this is a nice surprise great job

Aw, thanks Anne! I'm glad you like them. They were so much fun! <3

Hi, Kim! Nice job as always. Just to help us interpret this entry, can you please state the three different molds or texturing tools you used so we don't have to guess from the photos attached. (This is also a requirement of the challenge). Thanks!

OK, I think in my editing it was specific enough to help with much of the guessing. There were so many steps I was thinking the pictures would help explane, so sorry love. And thank you for your kind words.

The photos of course add a lot of flavor, so they are great. But the writing out of things allows us to more quickly check if entries qualify - sometimes photos aren't always clear and are open to different interpretations. But, thanks, this truly does help us with our monitoring task.

You're welcome. I didn't take the time I should have. Sorry.

Aw you are so sweet! The shading was all done by hand (painting browns and black). I thought it would be more smooth with the airbrush, but was fearful the pieces would just blow around and I would have over-spray because of all the gear corners. I'm so glad you like. it! This set has lived in my imagination for half a year now. It felt good to finally have a chance to do it. <3

Kim, this is such a well-conceived and executed cookie scheme!  You captured the feel of steampunk perfectly.  I really like the variety of materials you used for your molds, and your color choices are wonderful.  Well done!
