I had wanted to participate in the Stringwork challenge #44 and was unable to finish on time due to a broken bone in my foot 10 days before the challenge deadline . It's been very slow going for obvious reasons.

I really enjoyed this project and learned a lot. I had originally thought of using the round 6.5" (16 cm) base but it was too small. I made a frankencookie combining  2 rounds to create a 10" (25cm) x 6.5"  (16cm) base. I've attached several process pics and a simple video. I had a lot of breakage with the delicate pieces of stringwork so I piped a LOT of them. I liked the idea of using dyed coconut for the "grass" because I thought it might provide a more authentic look but found that it didn't adhere to the flooded cookie base very well. I couldn't get several pieces to stick to the coconut which was frustrating!  I filled in several spots with dyed graham cracker crumbs.

The eves of the house seemed too big for the house size so I filed them down a little but thought it would add interest if I were to put some other delicate stringwork pieces on the top to give the house better proportion.

This was such a fun project!!! Thank you so much Christine @Sweet Prodigy for creating this challenge!! I enjoyed the opportunities to learn along the way and learned a lot about how precise stringwork piping needs to be in order to work.
