NATURE AND VINTAGE

Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge #25: Vintage

I loved moss even when I was a little girl. When I found some, I always took a little home (but unfortunately it never remained for a long time). Now part of our garden is covered with moss. It's a very pleasant sight.

Moss is so soft and beautiful. It boasts countless shades of green. I consider it a wonderful plant.

Worn wood with moss in the sunlight evokes a pleasant feeling of life. For me, this is the vintage vibe of nature.

My 'moss' is actually spicy gingerbread colored with spinach powder.

Vintage effect: dry brush painting with dust food coloring.

Oh my dear friend...you have done it again! Your beautiful work is unmistakable to these eyes . I knew you had created this gorgeous set as soon as I saw the cookies . It has YOUR signature style on each and every cookie! I just love how you created the heart by using 2 cookies that are slightly separated in the picture. Beautiful work once again!! I'm loving the rustic look you have achieved with this set, dear Timea @PUDING FARM! Simply gorgeous work ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

I really love the vintage vibe of your weathered wood and how the moss enhances the look of the distressed wood. And of course, everything is done in your meticulous style. I'm always in awe of your weathered-look cookies - you really are a master of this technique.

Gorgeous, Timea! I’m curious, can you taste the spinach powder?

I'm so glad you like this cookie set, Samantha @Aproned Artist! 💜

I love gingerbread flavored with spinach powder. It has a special taste. I recommend it to gourmets. I don’t flavor this gingerbread dough with anything other than spinach powder.

"Moss" gingerbread recipe
250 g honey
  60 g butter
200 g granulated sugar
400 g flour
    5 tablespoons spinach powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 whole egg

Anyway, I flavor the traditional gingerbread dough with ground cloves and ground cinnamon. I never put ginger in it. I use a large amount of homemade flower honey in the dough.

But I make many kinds: cocoa, chocolate blueberries, walnuts, hazelnuts, poppy seeds, coconut gingerbread, etc. Each has a different texture and the ingredients are added in different proportions.

I never put artificial food coloring to edible cookies. I only use natural base materials. I use food coloring and royal icing for only cookies that we don’t eat but are just ornaments. 🙂
