Great job, Talia! You chose a really complicated subject for your first go at painting! You can definitely see the sky, land, mushroom layers and her leg is believable as coming forward to you. So even though there are parts you dont love, be sure to enjoy all the good here! Im glad you plan to do more in the future!

For this challenge I decided to hand paint a cookie which I have never done. For help I asked @Kim Damon for pointers because her hand painted cookies are always my favorite!(and if I can say she is my aunt and I didnt know she did cookies until I found her on this site! I dont know her too well but she is wonderful☺) So I have no skill whatsoever and my printer was acting up but I finally got an image to use on my Kopykake. Kim gave me pointers on gel colors, brands, the order in which to paint of how the eye percieves it and even a sketch! She was great. So I gave it a go. I like how easy it is to mix the gel color and just go rather than having to make RI,  color and thin it to consistency. I do not like the finished cookie, lots of problems. I tried lightening the mushroom bottom(did not work well) and I managed to smudge her foot pretty good! But I will try again, get a nice small set of brushes and I would like to try and incorporate more painting on my cookies. Maybe not the whole cookie but small parts which will add more dimension to the cookie.  Anyway, thanks for reading my long post!l and thanks Kim and Julia for extending the deadline so I could get this in!

I agree with @Kim Damon! You really got some nice dimension on both the leg and mushroom. Well done, especially with such challenging subject matter and medium!

This is an amazing first-time painting project!  I remember my hands shaking the first time I painted on a cookie! It is definitely a learning process, but you have clearly started a bit ahead of the curve, with an excellent teacher like @Kim Damon! I think this fairy is beautiful, and you did a terrific job of shading (especially the skin tone).  The judicious use of silver is really lovely! I can't wait to see some more painting from you in the future!
