In the 70's one of the most important thing in my life happened - my mother taught me to sew. And Bake. I have always made aprons - I still do, and I love aprons that have flowers or gardening themes on them. I have aprons in my bottom kitchen drawer from those days and when I wear them, I think of my Mum, who I lost all those years ago and who I think would clap her hands in delight at what I create these days - with a mothers love.

Oh Belle, you have just made me hiccup into a sob.Thank you

The recreation of the cyclamens are incredible! So realistic. Gorgeous. I never mastered the art of sewing - I even managed in Home-Ec to sew a pencil case crooked! And I won't go into the details of the "gorgeous" 80's peach pantsuit I did.... Aprons are a nicer way to go!

Thank you everyone I love playing with icing - the pots and stems were done using bag and tips, but for the flowers I used a paintbrush, picking up dibs and dabs of purple/white/pink icing - fun!
