Awesome work! The way you decorate cookies is so detailed and colorful...I love it! It seems like it would take you forever to decorate a cookie this size. It definitely turned out great .

Thank you so much Carol - for this and the many, many compliments you send my way.  I truly appreciate it.  Believe it or not, once I get started it goes pretty quickly.  If I am proactive and prepare all of the colors and tips and bags, etc...then it goes fast

Do  you draw out your designs on the cookie before you begin piping? Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It just depends because often cookies seem to take on a life of their own as you're decorating .

Sorry for the delay Carol, this one slipped by me.  As far as drawing out my designs before piping....I don't usually draw out a design because I typically have some "idea" of what I want the cookie to look like and it sort of develops along the way.  Having said that, this organic design process for me is changing a bit as I explore more with petal dust because it does take a bit more thinking and planning in order to get a large enough iced section to be able to work with the dust on.  I'm finishing up some cookies this weekend that were planned out prior to starting.  In general, I like "winging" it.  And sometimes when I draw something out and it doesn't come out the way I want, I get very discouraged!
