First of all I have to apologize for this poor entry, made in a hurry with a leftover cookie using leftover icing. I just wanted to be part of this Quilt Challenge!!!

I have seldom taken part at Challenges but one I loved very much was Challenge Bakes Perfect #16, the roses one. So, this cookie is inspired to that particular theme. During the years I was so lucky to meet in person many cookiers coming from other countries or Italian cities thanks to Cookie Connection.

I still remember when I saw in one of my classes @Manu biscotti decorati showing to all of us during the lesson her amazing method to pipe fine, tiny roses on a toothpick in few seconds! I tried to reproduce two small roses in that way to enrich the center of this cookie. The two bigger ones was instead piped with PME 56R tip.

I also always keep in my heart a beautiful afternoon spent with @Tina at Sugar Wishes in my dining room, drinking chocolate-coffee and painting roses on cookies! The hand painted part of this cookie is dedicated to that sweet cookie moment!

I often teach roses in my lessons, hand painted, drawn or piped because I love the way this flower can always be different and ‘new’! Can’t wait to see the result of this big ‘cookie quilt’, such a great idea that perfectly explains the meaning of our cookie connections!

A huge thank you to my wonderful talented cookie friend @Bakerloo Station that through these years has made this website more and more precious and original with her interesting challenges and.... a huge welcome to amazing @Sweet Prodigy that I admire very much too!

Love,

Evelin 🌸

Our times together are of my most treasured experiences!  We have Cookie Connection to thank for our forever friendship!🥰

You suggested me to join Cookie Connection!

❤️love you❤️

It is gorgeous 💖😍🤩. The painted roses remind me about a lovely treasure I received by getting the prize of one of the previous PBPC...a real treasure indeed. Thank you, Evelin for this life-long 'cookie connection' ❤️❤️❤️

Oh, how beautiful!!! And you did it in a rush????🥰

Yes, in a rush!!! Just had to wait for white flooding to get dry 😡

Heather, I love to paint those decors on cookies, so I go very fast because I ‘feel’ them. I’ve been decorating walls and done hundreds of acrylic paintings before teaching cookie decorating. I had leftover icing from another cookie set, therefore I could do roses and laces in few hours. Usually preps are killing, need more than three days, sometimes one whole week before taking the picture of a project. I am so happy to be part of this Challenge even if I could have done a better work 💗💗💗

Yes, you are right!!! They are very similar, you know I love painting them, when I don’t know what to do I paint roses 😂

You are another beautiful piece of this cookie connection puzzle of mine 💗❤️💗

So gorgeous dear Evelin @Evelindecora!! It is so exciting for you to have met other cookiers from Cookie Connection ❤.  Such wonderful moments to cherish for a lifetime.

I love how you compare the challenges to roses.  Though each challenge has been created to learn the same technique, each cookier interprets that technique in their own unique decorating style. No two roses look identical yet each is an incredibly beautiful rose!  This is a sentiment that I share with you my dear friend ❤.

Hugs across the miles...❤❤❤

Dear Carol, I have met at least 50 members of Cookie Connection in the ‘real life’, Julia included. Very often I’ve said this is like a family and after many years this still is, as the first day I came across this website. Distance is between us but cookie passion keeps us very close each others. I hope to meet in the future many more of you, it’s surreal every time this happens, so beautiful and so ‘natural’ in the end. I hope to be able to take part at more Challenges in the future and to meet you too, who knows? ❤️❤️❤️

I’m so happy you “seized the moment“!! And we can all delight in the beauty of your creativity 🥰

The hand painted roses, those dainty little flowers and leaves are your signature. It has been such a great experience to have the chance to take your classes and to work using your icing. I still feel the amazing smell of your cookies when I entered in the classroom! 💕

This might be my favorite one of your cookies! I love them all, but this one is so delicate! Reminds me of antique lace and Victorian print. So wonderful!

Thank you dear Kim for your sweet comment! Romantic themes are the ones I lve the most too 💗
