How impressive!  PME 1 and 0!!!

It was my first time using 0. It wasn’t as difficult as I feared. But, I don’t even have the 00 that Christine @Sweet Prodigy usually uses! She’s very very fancy.

Yes, Christine, I did feel quite cross-eyed.  And, I know you're suppose to remember to breathe but I did a lot of holding my breath, particularly as I did the last layer.  As you have mentioned, the consistency really is the critical thing, isn't it?

Consistency is definitely important. I find myself holding my breath a lot too. Sometimes I have to take a break - not from all that piping but rather from holding my breath for so long! 😂

You definitely spun some fancy gold this time! Thank you for explaining the process. It looks like you had perfect icing consistency in order to pipe your elevated stringwork. And the small piped star in the center is perfect especially because it is balanced by the piped border - your husband was right about this one! Did you find yourself going cross-eyed with all of those lines?

Oh how gorgeous Lisa @LisaF!! I love how you broke up the piping on each side of the star. The gold color is perfect, too. I love the finishing touches in the center and around the edges of the star. Incredible work my dear friend ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs. I'm so glad you found this to be easier than your previous entry . I had everything all planned out with cookies baked to participate in this challenge....of course, when it rains...Had a procedure done that resulted in unexpected flare ups. Hopefully, things will calm down soon so that I can "walk" enough to work in my kitchen .

Oh Carol!  I'm so sorry to hear about any procedural setbacks.  Wellness and comfort is so important.  I wish you a very speedy recovery.  Big hugs and healing from across the country!❤️😘

Thank you Petra.  I sometimes forget to take pictures but in this case, I didn't because I wasn't really sure it would work!  The only other picture I have of this is the one I took right before I sprayed the luster.  I was afraid the air flow would break the fragile string work and I wanted a record before I potentially blew it to bits.  I piped the star in the center afterwards (and sprayed it again) because my husband was adamant that it needed something in the center.  Normally, I ignore him but he started to drive me crazy.😂

Just wonderful work

Thank you Heather.  And, NO! I don't sleep at all.  I have terrible insomnia.  When I used to get too tired, my mind would wander into dark places.  I solved that by occupying my sleepless thoughts with cookie ideas.  True story!  It's usually about royal icing transfers and what I can swiftly duplicate 150 times.  But lately it's been string work.😂😂

Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done♥️ You are definitely a blessing to us, dear Lisa🥰😘

Very very nice work!! Delicate and very well done!! I imagine a Christmas tree full of them!!  Congrats!!

Thank you Susana.  I guess that was was going for even if I didn't know it at the time!

Fabullous work Lisa and pity you didn't take pictures in progress,so we can learn more about this complex construction ,for people like me hepls a lot, great work anyway,I still admire your creation❤️

Wow Lisa, I love your star!! So well executed, very tidy lines and lovely finishing to it. The gold enhances all your delicate lines so much. Congratulations dear friend ♥️
PS. Do you sleep at all??😆
