Oh wow Lara, this is stunning! Your table is so beautifully set. Each piece is amazing and so detailed, the turkey with it’s delicious glaze, the little garnishes at the side, the gravy, the corn(!), the butter, candles, pie, table cloth, napkins with rings... Oh, just incredible, what an entry. And it’s your first one?!!!🥰

W O W !!!!! What a great first post!!!! It's absolutely amazing work!!! Especially I love the many details !!! ... like the lemon slice, the candles, napkin rings and especially the salt and pepper! Everything is just beautiful!!! Congratulation to this work of art dear Lara!!!!  @Lara Plasencia   ❤️😘

All I could think about for a food challenge was a delicious Thanksgiving meal! So here it is! My turkey is gumpaste, the trimmings are royal icing, and it’s covered with a liquid glaze. Table and cherry pie are cookie.

Great entry! I'd love to know more about the liquid (what is it?) and how the pie was made. For instance, is the lattice on the pie also cookie?!

The glaze on the turkey is poppy paint super shine, and the pie is a sugar cookie that is topped with fondant cherries mixed with red tinted glaze and fondant lattice, painted to look baked. My favorite part was the rolls! They were so fun to make look real. They are fondant as well, and sides are scored with a scribe to achieve the edges, and brushed with petal dust. Here is a better picture to show them.

Thanks for all the deets! I think the rolls are my fave too, but the whole thing is pretty captivating!

You did a wonderful job with your thanksgiving tablescape. I love the little details, like how you created shine on the butter and added a flame to the candles. Your food items look incredible real. Those rolls look exactly like rolls. I can see the work that went into creating them - the texture, the shape, the golden color and the shine. And all of the detail work you put into your turkey has me convinced that it's the real thing. Very nice work.
