Very Fancy Candy Dishes

I really enjoyed making Julia’s candelabra last year and they looked wonderful on my Christmas table. They looked so nice, in fact, that my post Christmas tablescape looked extremely boring. I decided to make a new project to fill the void. I was inspired not only by the candelabra but also by Julia’s Mother’s Day cookie box. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V_uhGUOp4Vw&t=142s
I ended up with what I can only describe as a very fancy candy dish. It’s definitely fancier than my general decor but it certainly perks up the table!

OMG!!! Lisa, that's soooooo absolutely gorgeous and festive!!! I love the different pattern and the rose stencil pattern! This colors - soooo wonderful!! GREAT Lisa, absolutely great!!!  @LisaF ❤️

Thank you so much Heather.  Julia really has done a wonderful job of making her creations seem so doable.  I had planned on doing some other details but ran out of patience 😂😂. I'm still working on that requirement!!!

Thank you so much Stevie.  I am quite pleased with the stability.  We have a very clumsy household with frequent table bumps, animated hands and rogue elbows.  Some level of stability is an absolute requirement!😘😘

Thank you so much Gabi.  I tried to take my time with the airbrushing and focus on the colors.  I gave the stenciled pieces a light airbrushing of ivory color to give it more of an aged hue. I'm pretty tickled with the final result.😘😘

Thank you so much Julia. I definitely did a lot of redirecting as I came upon challenges. My initial plan was to incorporate the concave corners that you used on your cookie box. But, after I beveled the sides for a more secure fit, I realized that I had beveled in the wrong direction 🤦🏻‍♀️!!! A couple of attempts to correct left me with very uneven pieces and I just did not have the patience to find a way to make it work. I will revisit the element in a future project- now that I have considerable experience in what not to do!🤣
