Warm Fire

Thanks so much, dear @Aproned Artist for your tutorial on colored syrup! I had never tried it, and it made all the difference in this presentation. 

I flooded the cookie, brushed the flames in several steps as I had to let the coats dry to add more and create dimensions. I added the logs and scraped them a little to create the wood texture. All in white icing.

Then I painted the flames with coloured syrup, the logs with diluted gel colouring, the grass and sky, and to add a little touch, some little sprinkles here and there for stars and some tinted icing sugar for the ashes.

I can’t think of a harder subject than fire, Heather, but you nailed it! So unique and dynamic!
