I'm looking at buying some reclosable bags from U-Line. I'd love input on not only the optimal size, but the thickness of the bags. I can buy either 2 mil or 4 mil bags, and am leaning toward the 4"x4" bags. I can get 1,000 of the 2 mil bags for $27, or 1,000 of the 4 mil for $55. I'm thinking the heavier bags will provide better protection and keep the cookies fresher, longer. But would it be enough to justify the extra cost? I'm also wondering about getting 4"x6" bags for the larger cookies. Any thoughts????

I'd love to get a heat sealer and not have to worry about size, but I'm still dithering about which one would be "perfect"!

I love the resealable bags from Uline. I only buy the 2 mil.  The 4 mil is a heavy bag that is too much for my needs. I use the resealable bags when I place multiple small decorated cookies.
I always bought the 3 X 5.......then I bought an impulse sealer.

I also buy the 2 mil I also have 2 sizes, the 4x6 and one a bit smaller. What I really like about them is you can fold them over a cookie to fit a more snugly.  And they're so clear you can still see the decorated cookie perfectly.
I have found that Uline has the best prices that I have been able to find and I also use the 2mil baggies for longer lasting freshness.

I love the 4x4 bags I bought from Uline, but will probably need to buy some larger size ones. I wish I could buy them when we're up in Minneapolis in a couple weeks (the postage really adds to the price) but I don't believe they are open to the public. Darn.

I currently have a commercial location and the price for shipping has dropped considerably since I switched from having Uline deliver to my residence to my commercial location. You may want to ask a pack-and-ship store if they wouldn't mind letting you have your deliveries from Uline delivered to their location...since it's a commercial drop off, the shipping price will be cut in half, most always, vs. shipping to a residential location. Best of luck!!

This is a great idea - thanks for the tip!

I bought the 5x5 bags yesterday, and am having them delivered to my office. Much better postage! I never would've thought to check into this if it weren't for your tip. My bank balance thanks you.
