Good morning ,

I noticed that as I scroll through the new photos everyday, when I see something that interests me, open it,like it and then go back to the previous page to continue, the like is not there and I have to relike it. Is there a way to go back without erasing the like?

Sorry to be a bother.

Hi, Tina! This should not be happening, yet I cannot replicate the problem you describe on my end. Whenever I return to an image I've previously liked, no matter how I return to that page, it stays liked.

In order to diagnose your trouble or to have my tech guys do so, you will need to send me a much more specific example of what you're seeing and doing, i.e., send the link to the page you went to, take a screen shot before you like the photo, like the photo, then tell me how you backed up (by clicking the back arrow in your browser or doing something else), then take a screen shot of the page once you return to it. Then send all of this to me. We will also need your browser (name and version).

I don't mean to make this difficult for you, but this is not a known error or issue on this site or on any of the others supported by my platform, Hoop.la. So to help you, I/my tech guys need more info.

Thanks.

Tina, Another thought:

Could it be that this is what you're doing: you're clicking to view a clip, liking the clip, and then hitting your browser's back button, expecting the clip to appear as liked. If so, chances are that your browser is probably using a cached page when hitting the back button, so it's not going to refresh to show the like. But the like has registered on the site. Just be sure to clear your cache to verify, or don't use the browser's back button.

Tina, It would still be helpful for my tech guys to know your browser (including the version number you're using) in order to make sure they can't replicate the same trouble on it. Please forward at your earliest convenience. Thanks!

I'm so sorry, I have been away. I use Google Chrome I assume the latest version. When I open to view the larger photo, I like it and then go back with the browser to continue viewing other trending cookies and there is no heart showing red and I have to  re-click it. Since I am diligent in seeing every new cookie and opening mos,t I noticed the problem.

What I do now is go back to home, then reopen the trending clips. This way the like stays but it adds a step.

Hope you are having a nice 4th!!!!!

Yes this is what I am doing.

OK, then. I don't think there's any trouble. Try clearing your cache next time you back up, and I think you'll see that the like has been saved and registered by the site. Or revisit the clip without backing up, and you should also see the like saved. If not, then there is a problem and I'd need more information, as I described above, to troubleshoot.

I'm quite sure this is not the right place to make this question but I don't know exactly where to do it… (I'm sorry Julia!). I'm pretty new here and I was wondering if it's possible to mention other people (like in Facebook or Twitter) writing the "@" before the name. I think it could be useful in a comment, for example, when you want to say thank you (or another thing) to a specific member. Thanks for the info!!

Hi, IFeelCook, The best place to post a NEW question about how the site works is in this forum: http://cookieconnection.juliau...-and-other-site-tips

If you have a suggestion for the site, then this is the place to post it: http://cookieconnection.juliau...estions-and-feedback

To ask a new question, simply go to the relevant forum and click "Post New Topic" at the top. When new questions are tagged onto the end of another question, they will only get lost and not be easy for others to find.

I will move this question to a new topic under the forum above and answer it there.
