I am making snoopy cookies. My question is...is it best to flood an entire base covering the entire cookie and letting that dry then outline and fill the snoopy on top of the base coat OR is it best to outline and fill in the snoopy directly onto the cookie and then flood around it to fill in the surrounding areas???

I don't know which is best or if it even matters.

Help!

That's a good question. I used a cutter for my character, so I didn't have this question.  My only thought would be if you flood the whole cookie white and then black outline and fill in snoopy with white, he will pop out 3-D nicely but it will take longer to dry.  If you pipe the outline, fill in, and then do the background, it will be flush and will dry faster.  I would love to see what others have to say...

I am making them on the shape of a cupcake cookie just for size. I will try to attach a photo of the pictures of what I want to do below or however this works. (I'm really new at this.)

I think I will do that. It will probably be easier for me to do it that way especially since it's not that big.  Thank you so much for helping me. I really appreciate it so much. I love your snoopy and woodstock cookies; they are adorable!!  I am doing a Joe Cool theme for my friend's husband's birthday. I'm not even good at this, but she asked me to; I don't know why. I'm nervous, but I guess it will be okay. Thank you again for taking the time to give me advice and look at my pictures.

Just a thought...if you flood around the black piped lines (if you do the image first) you might experience bleeding around the image...I personally would either just pipe the snoopy directly onto the cookie OR flood the entire cookie and pipe him on top of the flood (like somone else mentioned for a 3-d effect).

Thank you. I flooded the cookie last night and am going to do the image on top like you both said. Thank you very much for your time And advice.
