Hi, all,

I am also a convert to the parchment cone, but occasionally I need to use a metal tip. I am having problems with icing leakage between the bag and tip. I know Julia has mentioned this problem on one of her YouTube videos, but I did not take enough notice of the exact video . . . Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this or which video to go back and look at? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, @lorrihill, I have never talked about leakage between parchment cones and tips in any of my videos, because I do not use tips with parchment cones. I just cut a hole in the cone to the size that I need/want. If I use tips, I tend to use them with very thick icing (when I want textured effects, i.e., basketweave or leaves, or when piping flowers). In that case, I fit a canvas pastry bag with a coupler and the tip. Hope this helps.
