Hi there ! I'm new to this site and find the forum section very helpful ! I'm thinking about getting an edible printer. But before I do...could someone please explain to this newbie lol how the whole printing part works ? For instance...what sites are good to find floral, elegant & vintage type of designs ?

Thank you very much for your time...as it's been very frustrating trying to find sites that sell the designs I like on edible paper (it's mainly plain sheets, cheesy designs lol or cupcake/cookie toppers...I'm looking for an entire sheet with a design on it)...so I guess getting an edible printer seems to be the way to go - thanks again !!

I really like Fancy Flours and Queen of Tarts Cakes for pre-printed edible wafer paper designs. But they are wafer papers and not frosting sheets, which are different. Not sure which you want. Also, Country Kitchen Sweet Art has a wide range of pre-printed frosting sheets; the Designer Prints brand that they carry has some nice, and not as cheesy, background patterns, though all are very bright. These frosting sheets are also very translucent, more like wafer paper.

As for printing on papers, there is another forum which talks about printer choices in great detail. You might want to check it out if you haven't already: http://cookieconnection.juliau...printers-preferences

As for other more general designs that you could print on edible papers, I usually just do Google searches and then make sure I get permissions from people to use any imagery I find; but, admittedly, I don't use edible papers that much, so there may be better sources of patterns.
