Hi, everyone. I awoke, as I'm sure many of you did, to learn of the devastating flooding and landslides in Japan (https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/07...ly-floods/index.html), which have caused several deaths and millions to evacuate their homes. The news and images are utterly heartbreaking.

I heard from our some of our members this morning who reported that they are "okay". I am so overjoyed to hear this, but very worried about our other members and friends.

Please know my heart goes out to everyone involved. I am hoping, from the bottom of my heart, that all here are safe and sound, and that everyone affected can return to safety and normalcy very soon. Please take a moment to check in on your Japanese friends at this most difficult time. ❤️

Hi, I live in the south part of Japan and 2,500 people were told to evacuate immediately in my city but all of my family and I are just fine and safe at home.

Thank you.

Phew, what a relief! Thank you for your update, @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.! XOXO 😘

Hi Julia. I'm in Tokyo and there's no damage here as you know. However,  the flood and landslides were really terrible and it is assumed that almost 200 people were killed. Now rain stopped but it is super hot and I'm worried how people evacuating to school gyms can survive without air conditioners... (Most public school gyms have no air conditioners.) I just pray there will be no more casualties.

So glad to hear you are okay, but I too am worried about all that you say. The weather is getting more and more unpredictable all over the globe. My biggest hope is that our current administration will open their eyes to global climate change and work with our allies on a solution that will ensure a healthier and safer environment for future generations.
