Hi, all!

I wanted to let you all know that I am heading into an insanely busy time from now through September/October. Both work (namely my cookie competition, classes, and monthly stencil releases) and personal demands (home renovation, mother having surgery, yada-yada) are hitting me very hard at the same time. The biggest crunch is about to occur, and will have me out of the country or away from my computer for much of July and August.

That being said, I need to make some adjustments to my workload here on the site in order to maintain my sanity, and so I will not be doing Saturday Spotlights on weekends I am working or traveling in June and July. Those weekends are listed below. Manu will also be taking vacation in June, and so her tutorials will resume in July.

The good news is: Much good content will still be coming your way!  Prior to leaving the country this weekend, the next challenge and new site art will post. And after I return in early July, the next survey recap and additional tutorials will post. The biggest (temporary) change is in the Saturday Spotlights (again, see the posting schedule below.)

Thanks for understanding the need for this break. Please also understand that I may not be able to reply to site questions in my normal 24-hour window during this time.

June/July Saturday Spotlight Schedule:

June 22 - None (Out of country)
June 29 - None (Out of country)
July 6 - Yes, a Spotlight!
July 13 - None (My cookie competition is happening this weekend! Yay!)
July 20 - Yes, a Spotlight
July 27 - Yes, a Spotlight!  And also a live chat with Shelby Bower (check it out here)!

All for now! Thank you again!

Wow!  I wish that I had just a bit of your energy!!  It is said that remodeling one's home, or even a portion of it, is one of the most stressful things that one can do, and having been through it, I completely agree.  Just remember that each day, is one day closer to completion.  Beyond that, I wish you safe travels, and complete enjoyment of all of your events!  I'm also sending energies to your Mom, for a safe procedure, and a quick and complete recovery!  As for us here, we will patiently wait for your return, and will continue to enjoy each other's creations, in the interim.

Supportive Hugs!

Thanks! Yes, we're on year two of a long-distance total remodel. It is taking a huge toll in many ways, and needs to get done this year or I will implode. 😂

I Understand. Last year we had a bathroom remodel and I had to give hubby an ultimatum.  Good luck with the remodel!

You are one organized lady!! Thanks for the heads up my dear cookie friend @Julia M. Usher. We certainly want you to retain your sanity through all you have going on (although I don't know if I could). You'll be in my prayers, with a special focus on your mom. Surgery, whether big or small, is always risky and becomes more so with age.

Please be sure to take good care of yourself during this time. I've found that as my schedule becomes more hectic, my health (physical and mental) ends up at the bottom of the list of priorities. Don't be like me .

I hear you! Thanks! Trying to maintain my usual 1 1/2 hour exercise regime each morn, but it's been rough. It's usually the first thing to go by the wayside.
