Ooh, we've got such delightful fall art in our site banner and background this month, thanks to cookie artist @Di Art Sweets, aka Dora Lyubenova. The smiling pumpkins and acorns are just too cute for words, don't you think?! Thanks also to Gabi aka @Icingsugarkeks, our Site Art Stylist, for transforming Di Art Sweets' original "Autumn Friends" cookie post to fit the particular specs of our banner and backdrop - and for adding the falling cookie leaf to the banner! I just love that whimsical touch!

Here's Dora's original post to the site, in case you're interested in seeing how Gabi adapted it for banner and backdrop use, or just to better appreciate all of its fine details . . .

Now, let's learn more about Dora, shall we? Dora joined Cookie Connection from Bulgaria (!) back in November 2017, and has since posted SO many beautiful cookies to the site. As always, I'll be conducting an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview with Dora in the coming weeks, but, in the meantime, I encourage you to explore her entire Cookie Connection portfolio, and to review her bio below!

Dora Lyubenova, also known as Di Art Sweets to her cookie friends, is an amateur cookie decorator from Bulgaria. She is a chemical engineer by training, and a mother of two children - a 24-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. Dora's interests include all aspects of art, but especially painting, sculpture, and photography. She loves embroidery, knitting, and travel as well. Dora started cookie decorating in 2017 when she had to make cookies for her own birthday! Soon after, she started to make cookies for her friends and relatives, and cookie decorating quickly became her new passion. In the beginning, she worked with fondant, but now she only works with royal icing. Dora has attended royal icing courses in Belgrade, and enjoys doing experiments and gaining any and all experience she can in cookie decorating. She loves the whole process of cookie work - from the dough to the photos! Now, three years after making her first cookies, she is a successful decorator and conducts her own cookie decorating courses in Bulgaria.

To learn more about Di Art Sweets and her cookie work, please visit her Instagram and Facebook pages and her Cookie Connection member profile.

And, for those of you who are wondering how to get featured, it's easy! Simply read these posts here and here. Remember: Site artists not only get their work featured prominently for a full month, but they also get profiled in a forum post (like this one) and in an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview. All considered, it's a lot of great free PR in exchange for photo sharing! When preparing your site art, please bear in mind that I already have artwork through February 2021, so I am specifically looking for art for March 2021 and beyond. Please also remember that @Icingsugarkeks, our Site Art Stylist, is available to help you get your photos in the right format, so do not hesitate to contact her if you need assistance! You can send her a PM right here on Cookie Connection by clicking on her name (in pink) above.

Thanks in advance for considering a contribution to the site!

Gabi @Icingsugarkeks, I wish you could write a tutorial about how to create that amazing graphics!

Thanks a lot Manu!! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜
Oh Manu - a tutorial?!? ๐Ÿ‘€

At the moment I've been busy with our basement for 2 weeks. We have a pipeline basement and the associated problem that it has already been under water four times ... Next year all pipes are to be renovated. I am now doing the necessary preparatory work and in the next few days I want to tear out our living room flooring and put it in the basement around the furniture like a wall so that the next time the water runs on the flooring outside and not under the basement furniture!...
Autumn cookies are next on the agenda and then the Christmas preparations are already on the way ...
I think it will be quieter again in January. Maybe in January 2021.

There are different ways and different programs with which you can animate graphics. Should now also work with Photoshop, but I haven't tried it yet!

(I only go to Cookiecon with my PC, hence the breaks! Instagram is fine, I go with my cellphone any free time...)
@Manu
