Hi, I unearthed a small bug on the site, of which to be aware. My site guys are going to fix it, but they can't give me an ETA. (BTW, they still have not given me an ETA on the back arrow/back-tracking issue in the Clips area despite repeated pressure on my part. Not sure what to do other than wait at this point. )
Here's the linking issue, which you may have noticed already. Very long links (meaning those that get displayed by the site with an ellipsis, aka "...") contained in parentheses or with periods at the end will not automatically hyperlink for some strange reason related to the parentheses and period. Short links are NOT an issue at all.
WORKAROUND: For now, to be sure that any LONG links you insert in comments or posts always work, do NOT put them in parentheses or put periods at the end. And always check your posts before you leave them to make sure the links are actually linked.
I have been finding a lot of broken links in your recent comments and posts (and mine too), and have been trying to fix them when I find them, but it would be great to eliminate this fixing step by using this workaround. Thanks!
Again, this only affects long links where the site inserts an ellipsis in the URL. So short links can be contained in parentheses or end with a period.
