A lady emailed last week requesting 3 dozen cookies for a corporate event. Luckily I have already found a edible image supplier here, called Mabel's Kitchen and they are ready and willing to make the image for me.  It has now been 5 days since the lady "approved" the invoice and I have been waiting for her to give me her credit card to secure this order so I could order the sheets.

Yesterday she decided they were going to cost too much and no longer wants to order.  She had originally approved them at 6.00 each when they were about 3.75 by 4 in squares. The next day she decided that was too small and asked me to make them 5 by 4 rect.  She asked how much more that would cost and I only went up .50 each.  So, I responded to her "blow off" email by stating that I hope that she will reconsider her decision being as she approved this project last Wednesday.  The cookies are due on Monday May 12 and I had told her last Friday that I needed to order the custom images. Now, she is decided she will order these (I guess she felt bad that she tried to blow me off).

I have already gone back and forth with her a  number of times, sent her cutter examples to choose from that I was going to get custom made and she just wants a huge ugly rectangle. My problem is the logo part is round, and I don't want to use a 5 by 4 image on the entire cookie, because I feel that is very large, costly, and since I don't have experience in this arena, very risky.  I would welcome any suggestions any of you have on how to best make this work. The text part of this was going to be done by making a custom stencil and airbrushing it black.  Help! Now that she has changed her mind they have to be perfect or I can't risk doing them if they aren't going to look good. What would you do? Again, she has insisted on this rectangular layout and is not open to a round cookie.

Oh Cookie I feel your stress....I usually never comment on these forums but this is what I would do....Just give her your professional opinion and let it go.

If she wants....  your cookie...likes your designs.... she will work with you.   Also when you need a custom stencil go to Designer Stencils they will really work with you....
