Hello, my name is Melissa

I am new to CC and I love it already! I have been decorating cookies for about a year now and still learning new things everyday. I have a facebook page for all my cookie creations but I feel like I have no idea how to use it effectively. I know that facebook has made it very difficult for our pictures to be seen by many but a lot of other cookiers are soo generous to let us share our pictures on their wall. How do I share pictures directly from my cookie fb page? For some reason I can not figure it out and it always posts from my main facebook instead. (Sorry if this seems simple to others, but no question is a dumb question right? haha Any other feedback about how to manage your facebook page and run it smoothly is much appreciated, I am just getting the hang of all this so thanks in advance!

Hi, Mel! Not sure if I am understanding your question completely. But to share a link, I simply copy the Facebook URL that shows up in my browser (CRTL-C command on my computer) and paste it into the Facebook status post text area (CTRL-V).

Though before copying a link to your work onto someone else's wall, I'd check to be sure they look favorably on that sort of post. Some don't.

I hope I answered your question.

P.S. I find Facebook an increasingly useless marketing tool, since it has so dramatically changed the exposure it gives for free in the last year. I wouldn't throw all of your marketing eggs into this basket by any means.

I agree with Julia -- if you're going to share a pic, make sure that you are welcome to prior to doing so...when I go to share a pic, click on the pic you want to share, then look at the top of the page's URL and copy that (CTRL +C, then CTRL + V onto the wall of the page you're trying to post it on under their comments, etc).

As far as a marketing tool, Facebook charges for any sort of promotion these days but I think it does have weight in regard to customer feedback and customer following. Most importantly, have fun

Thank you all so much, sorry if my question was hard to understand, I didn't really know how to word it myself haha. Michele you answered my question exactly thank you! I was mainly asking because Jill FCS had a "Thursday throwdown" sharing on her page but I could not figure out how to do it directly from my cookie page, but of course we had permission first I believe you guys answered my question, thanks for the help.

Ok, I just had to come back and write that I went to my FB and did what you said and I can't believe I never knew that! haha thank you again!!
