Yes, you guessed it! Our February site artist is none other than the incredibly talented @Teri Pringle Wood, whose nickname ("Queen of Hearts") was earned because of the many hundreds of heart cookies she's posted to Cookie Connection since joining in February 2014. And that's not her only site moniker. She was also one of the first members to achieve the coveted status of "Cookie Queen" for having amassed over 100,000 activity points on the site. Her other cookie recognitions and awards are more than I can count, but are enumerated (at least in part) in her bio below.

Thanks to Teri for contributing these beautiful blue hearts to the site back in January 2018. Our Site Art Stylist @Icingsugarkeks, aka Gabi, stumbled upon them recently when trying to figure out who to feature in February, and was stunned by their beauty. And so, she deftly turned them into this month's backdrop and banner, complete with a beating heart!

Thanks also to Gabi for the work she does to transform members' posts into the formats needed for our site art. She always does so with flair by adding her own special touch.

As you know, I usually like to do an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview with each site artist. Unfortunately for us, Teri is super busy right now, so I will not be able to catch her for an interview, and her bio below will have to suffice! I encourage you to read it if you're not already familiar with Teri's brilliant work. (And, no, I haven't forgotten about the Close-up with January site artist, @Annelise (Le bois meslé); her questions are in the works, and she'll receive them shortly. Her interview will likely post in mid to late February.)

Headshot - TeriCROPPEDTeri Pringle Wood is inarguably one of the most productive cookie decorators around, every day endeavoring to make one or more cookie creations. Teri consistently wows the cookie community with her expert piping and painting skills. As one judge in the Cookie Connection Cookiers' Choice Awards so aptly put it: "Teri is a prolific artist of an astounding portfolio of cookies characterized by true artistry . . . [she uses] a variety of techniques to produce consistently impeccable results! Perfection is the hallmark of her work!" In her many years of cookie decorating, Teri has been a winner of King Arthur's cookie decorating contest, a multi-year finalist for Cookie Connection's Cookie Artist of the Year Award, and a Cake Masters Magazine Awards finalist. She has also been featured in several international and local publications, and is a member of the Katy Sue Designs design team and the in-house "cookie decorating doctor" on the Facebook blog called Cake Doctor. But Teri's greatest reward is, in her words, "to hear every day of the joy my cookie posts bring to followers who are ill or suffering . . . [and] I love seeing posts from other cookiers who have been inspired by my creations." While hearts are clearly Teri's passion, just ask her if she's decorated any shape (yes, you name it!), and chances are very good she has!

To learn more about Teri, please check out her Cookie Connection portfolio, and Instagram and Facebook pages.

Again, congrats to Teri!

Last but not least, for those of you who are wondering how to get featured, it's easy! Simply read these posts here and here. Remember: Site artists not only get their work featured prominently for a full month, but they also get profiled in a forum post and in an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview. All considered, it's a lot of great free PR in exchange for photo sharing! When preparing your site art, please bear in mind that I already have artwork through June 2021 and also for September 2021, so I am specifically looking for art for July, August, October, November, and December 2021. Please also remember that @Icingsugarkeks, our Site Art Stylist, is available to help you get your photos in the right format, so do not hesitate to contact her if you need assistance! You can send her a PM right here on Cookie Connection by clicking on her name (in pink) above.

Thanks in advance for considering a contribution to the site!

Can't wait for your interview Terry.

Your hallmark style was apparent from your first cookie. I can always tell a Terry Pringle Wood cookie no matter where I see it on the internet.   One of your early cookies was a large pumpkin with a RI "crocheted" doily draped over the top.  I'll never forget that cookie. It's when I first realized that cookie decorating was/is an art form.

You delight and inspire

Pip, unfortunately, I won’t be interviewing Terry. See my note about why in the above post.
