Hi, everyone. As you may have heard by now, the That Takes the Cake (TTTC) Show recently canceled, much to the dismay of so many in the sugar arts business. Like you, I was super disappointed to learn of its cancellation. However, I share their concerns about Omicron, everyone’s safety, and the financial well-being of their show, and fully support their decision as sad as it is.

You may be wondering what this all means for the 2022 Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™ that was slated to take place there . . . well, there is some good news in that regard! I plan to re-launch my cookie competition online with the same Broadway & Musicals theme in June 2022, just as I did last year when COVID first hit. I just finished teaching an all-weekend cookie course, so I have to keep this message brief for now. But please stay tuned to this site where I’ll be announcing more detailed plans for the 2nd virtual edition of Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™ early next week. (The link to watch is this one: https://cookieconnection.julia...okie-art-competition.)

If you’re an existing sponsor of the 2022 Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™, I will be reaching out to you personally next week with a slightly revised Sponsorship Offering and to discuss how you would like to proceed.

As for the 3-D cookie container garden course I was teaching at TTTC, I will also be turning it into an online class, with reg slated to open in early to mid February.

Thanks for your understanding in these very unpredictable times. Let’s all hope for a return to normalcy in 2022 so that our beloved TTTC Show can resume in full force in 2023.
