Hi, folks! I use a rolling mat like this one https://www.amazon.ca/Norpro-S...asures/dp/B00112499E to roll out my cookies, which I LOVE, but cleaning it afterward is kind of a pain because it is so big. It can be washed in the dishwasher, but I've never figured out how to load it so that it gets clean. Does anyone else use one, and if so do you wash in the dishwasher and how do you load it?

My top rack doesn't get spray from on top...just from underneath, so the top doesn't get clean, then I have to turn it over and wash it in a second wash.

Interesting  . . . I always thought dishwashers needed to spray from multiple angles to clean comprehensively, but always learning!

I have a Third Rack in  my dishwasher I used that rack  to wash  all of my cookie cutters  and  cookie mats and they come out squeaky clean. I have had absolutely no problem with getting the mats clean. I love it

Do you lay it flat in the 3rd rack or have it on edge somehow?

Mine has a sprayer directly under the upper rack and the water sprays up between items and bounces off the top with enough force to get things clean but if I lay the mat out flat it blocks too much of the spray and I don' get the bounce effect. I believe it's a water conservation feature.
