Wedding Seating Card/Favor Cookies

My daughter married in March and we were looking for a clever way to create seating cards but in cookie form that could double as a favor for guests. I am by no means a "professional baker/decorator" but I can hold my own when it comes to creating cookies and I love a challenge. The hardest part for me was setting up the first name and table number on Microsoft Word but after that it was a breeze to print on edible wafer paper. Hi. I'm from Mexico and have been asked to make cookies. There are a few minor obstacles in my way that I'm hoping to get some help with. All we have here is an unrefined slightly coarse sugar, not the huge granular sugar and not very brown. Are there any variations I should use in the recipe? Next is baking temp and time. FDA-Approved Gold Luster Dust

Hi, everyone, I've done some searching on the site but haven't found a recent post on this topic (most are old and the links are dead or not working). It seems a lot of people use "non-toxic" gold luster dusts on their cookies, but it is my understanding that these are not approved for consumption and should not be given to consumers. My White Royal Icing Bubbles! Help!

I make all my royal icing from the same exact recipe, however, when I flood with white icing, it ALWAYS bubbles and it looks like little pimples when it dries. I have tried tapping the cookie to release the bubbles, but it does not work. All my other colors are super smooth, no bubbling. I am wondering if it is the white coloring I use?
