Join @Julia M. Usher for this one-day course where you’ll explore the ins and outs of over 15 cookie baking and decorating techniques, all applied to traditional 2-D cookies! Techniques include: embossed and molded cookies, outlining/flooding, needlepoint, marbling, airbrushing, stenciling (three ways), piped 3-D transfers (including roses and other flowers), rubber-stamping, basic dusting and painting, edible paper accents, beadwork and other piped finishing methods, and Julia’s newly developed technique, royal icing shards. Students will also explore the fundamentals of cookie design and composition by applying three or more of these techniques to a mixed media cookie of their own design. In total, students will complete about 5 to 6 highly detailed cookies.
Class fee is $350 per person.
Registration is required and is non-refundable. All supplies and lunch are included in the class fee. Class will start at 9:00 am and run about 8 hours.
