Master Cookie Decorating Course with Julia M Usher in Genoa

Join Julia in Genoa, Italy for two different classes hosted by All in One Events. She will begin with a one-day course on introductory 3-D cookie decorating and assembly techniques, featuring her wedding cake and FabergÉ egg cookie projects. In a follow-on two-day class, she’ll cover more advanced cookie cutting and shaping techniques by taking classgoers step by step through the making of her popular 3-D heart boxes and cookie puzzles. She'll also be making a special guest appearance the prior weekend at the country's first-ever cookie decorating convention from May 1-3!

Julia,

This is so exciting, a class in Italy! It's fun just to think about, as my one trip there was divine! Wish I could attend, the pupils are very fortunate to learn from such a master!

Thanks, Nancy! I'm excited too - it's going to be an action-packed year. I've got classes in Spain, Portugal and Holland too!

Julia,

Oh, that sounds heavenly! Besides baking, I love to travel. It must be challenging to make sure you have available and/or bring everything you will need to teach. I'm curious how the language barrier is addressed, is there a translator for those who don't speak English? I wouldn't put it past you to be multi-lingual, though!

Hi, Julia - When will you be teaching in Portugal?   Will that/those class/es be open to a traveler, as the classes are in Genoa?   I just might be interested - two of the absolute best things in the world at once!

Hi, Lynda! Yes, the Portugal classes will be open to anyone. More info should be coming about them later in September. I'll be posting that info here, along with information about the other classes mentioned above. Hope to see you there!

Hi, Tina! I'm sure you could keep up. I'll break down the projects into pretty basic steps so that even relative beginners can keep up. I think they just like to call them "masters" classes because it makes the classes sound more important!  Seriously, though, I'll likely do some of my more advanced projects, but the approach should make them doable for nearly anyone who has basic piping skills.
