Flowers on the Beach

So pretty! What did you end up using for the sand? Sanding sugar? 

So nice - and the rocks in the foreground?! I love those - how did you do them?

Oh such a lovely cookie - I love the rocks in the foreground too and wondering how you did them. Great border and waves. 

Thank you all very much. I used brown sugar for the sand. I just put a thin layer of royal icing under it to make it stick. The rocks I got at my favorite bakery supply store. They look like they would be hard to eat but are very soft and chewy. All the rest is royal icing including the driftwood.  I just poked holes in it with a toothpick when it was almost dry. It's my first attempt at making a picture/scene out of a cookie.

A first attempt and you did splendidly.  I keep staring at the water.  So alive-looking, real.  Nice color.
