Teri, your cookie is absolutely beautiful. Are your tiny roses fondant or royal icing. I'm new to the art of decorating cookies and wanted to make some tiny roses for a cookie order I'm doing. Would love to hear how you did yours. Thank You, Darlene

Thank you Darlene, they are Royal icing. thick and for these I used a PME  56 R tip. It makes tiny really pretty ones I think.. Good luck if I can help you in any other way please let me know... It wasn't very long ago I was trying to figure it out as well.. Teri]

Teri thank you for your quick response. I will pick up that particular pme tip and give it a go. I'm pretty good at buttercream roses and gumpaste/fondant roses so hopefully these little gems turn out good enough to use on some cookies. Also, I'm just so grateful you shared with me. I hope to pay it forward when I have something to share. Thank You!!

I took Nicholas Lodge's class The Ultimate Sugar Rose which is one of the best most informative classes on Fondant/Gumpaste I've taken so far. Nicholas's class is not free but if you have questions he will answer them. He is an amazing teacher and well worth the cost of the class.

I'm wanting to learn fondant and gum paste...

Love your cookies! I also am a beginner and I see my question was answered on what the tiny roses are made of. I would like to try it as well. Maybe you could give us a small tutorial on how its done?

Hi Jackie, Thank you for the kind words, I learned to make these roses from a tutorial on you tube Ceri DZ great teacher. I think if you watch it you will get the information you need. Please let me know what you think...

You did an amazing job. I use the PME tips for writing and fine details but haven't used the rose tip. I have to order them online and hate paying the extra $$ for shipping. Truly beautiful.

And I agree with Dana - Dana's Daydreaming Cookies. Reading all the posts and almost seeing friendships develop here is one of the things I love most about this site.

I'm quite the novice here and am happy to get any extra tips that I can!

God bless you each and every one!!

I just say you post Lee Ann, Yes, to have friends with the same interest and share. Any thing I know I'm happy to share with you, problem is LOL I don't know much.... I have to order my tips also, I know what you mean I hate to pay all the shipping to, grrrrr could spend that money on more supplies!
