Thank you for your interest in our Creative Cookie Festival & Edible Arts Show.

The Creative Cookie Festival & Edible Arts Show will début September 5, 6 & 7, 2019 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.

Some of the features of this event will be:

EDUCATION ~ Learn techniques and tips from some of the premier decorators in classes and workshops Fee Classes ~ Children through Professional

SHOPPING ~ Sales floor will be overflowing with baking, decorating and packaging merchandise for professional and hobbyists.

INSPIRATION ~ Sweet Expressions Edible Art Display by professionals and hobbyists

CAREER ~ Consider Culinary School opportunities

NETWORKING ~ Connect with both professionals and other hobbyist.

FAMILY FUN ~ Children’s Cookie Decorating

  And MORE!

We are in the process of receiving the class descriptions and offerings from some excellent decorators and pastry chefs. We will be organizing the classes in February and are planning to open registration in March. We will offer many classes to include beginner/novice through advanced/professional instruction.

This event will focus on cookie decorating, but include cake decorating and confections also. We will be presenting a Cookie Jar Display that we are sure will delight all!

We will offer two distinct courses for our VIB’s (Very Important Bakers), one catering to Cookie Decorators and the other for Cake decorators. We are calling these The Sweet Spot. Each path will offer Six unique Lecture-style Presentations, 2-Day Admission to the Sales Floor, an exclusive VIB Reception with Presenters, Teachers and Exhibitors and special VIB Swag Bag.

You will not need to participate at the VIB level to enjoy many aspects of the event. The Sales Floor, Displays (including the Sweet Expressions Edible Art Display) and many of the Classes will be available to the general public.

I would encourage you to join our Facebook page and Instagram page to follow the progress of this event and watch for dates to register.

With sadness we announce that the Creative Cookie Festival & Edible Art Show is cancelled.

To all the wonderful supportive VIB Sweet Spot members – you will receive a full refund for your admission and classes, as well as Competition Entrants beginning July 1st.

To all the event exhibitors - you will receive a full refund for your booth deposits beginning July 1st.

We have worked very hard over the past year to develop this event for the Pacific Northwest. Being two months from the event date ~ there are too few exhibitors to provide enough consumer value for the event to occur.

While we realize the many Pacific Northwest Edible Artists have desired an event such as the Creative Cookie Festival & Edible Art Show – industry supplies are unwilling to risk supporting this first-time event for various reasons and valid logistical realities.

We do want to recognize the fabulous class instructors who were presenting the best in cookie and cake decorating, sugar flower and sugar art, chocolate and design classes. I value your talent and commitment to this event. We have had tremendous interest and activity for your classes and regret your knowledge and experience will not be passed along to those in the Pacific Northwest.

We also would like to recognize the Oregon ICES members for their help and support in this venture.

To all the fans and friends on Instagram and Facebook, throughout the county and worldwide – thank you for your encouragement.

Even though there has been planning in the background to host this event again in Portland in 2020 – there are some personal life-direction changes that have surface recently that preclude this from occurring.

No one is more disappointed than I that this joyous experience with so many talented artist and hobbyist bakers will not occur.

Sweet thought,

Patrick Larson
