Reply to "Dull/fading colors"

I haven't had issue with dulling or fading of my icing regardless of the consistency ... when you put them under a fan are they drying evenly?  Maybe what you think is fading is actually humidity spots?  When the temperature changes with the season, the first few days I find I can see the humidity wreaking havoc on my cookies so I just adjust the air, and that seems to take care of the problem.
