I first came across 3D cookies by accident. I was antique shopping and saw a set of 3D cookie cutters that were manufactured in the '60s as a promotion for Crisco. HAD to have them! When I couldn't figure out how to decorate the darn things, I turned to cookie experts on CakeCentral (it really saddened me when CC turned its back on so many cookie decorators!). I still couldn't do the cookies justice, so I came up with my own 3D cookie designs and even put together kits. I can still remember how excited I was when the shipment arrived from India of the cutters!
I haven't done many 3D cookies for quite some time, but am ready to jump back in. I have some sketches ready to go and now just need to find the time. I still get a bit of a thrill whenever I see someone post a unique 3D cookie creation, and can't wait to see what gets posted in this forum!
