I would therefore chose one of the following options:
- make the quilting with icing and only the monogram with fondant. The letters are not that prone to breaking and still you have mainly the taste of RI
- make the quilting only on the outer side and leave a round or whatever shape in the middle for even flooding. You can easily apply the letters there
- make the monogram on a round (or whatever shaped) transfer. This can be applied to a quilted surface without problems
VERY good ideas...ideas I wish I had when I had a client that wanted this a couple of years ago.
