Tip: Square vs. Round Cookies

In an attempt to save time and my wrist from cutting out 20 dozen cookies with a round cookie cutter, I thought cutting square cookies with a straight edge on measured mat would be the cat's meow. Only one problem, I didn't happen to think that a 2 1/2 in. square cookie would use more dough than a 2 1/2 in. round cookie! Ugh...had to mix more cookie dough which was not time saving at all. Tip: Remember that squares use more dough than rounds!!
