What to use instead of gluten-free flour?

I have used a butter cookie recipe to decorated cookies. But I use chick pea flour instead of the all-purpose flour. Seems like is working. Someone has a different substitute that is not the gluten-free flour(Bob's Red Mill). I cannot find it here in Bangalore. 

 

The chick pea flour it can be used but the flavor is like bitter so I am thinking to combine half of it with coconut powder. Has someone better ideas? I will appreciate if you share . . .
