Thank you! It's just black royal icing, which I coloured with bamboo charcoal powder. It has no taste or smell and is becoming common as black colouring here in Japan.
Googly eyed - Japan! Wow, I didn't know that. Well I have been dying to do a tribute to you and Japan makes it more unlikely that I'll do it. hahahhaaaaaa I wonder if that bamboo charcoal powder is available here. Sounds delicious!
