Not every cookie needs to be decorated with royal icing in order to stand out! In this video, I show how to emboss cookie dough using silicone molds to create very cool textured effects. I go further to gild them with various edible dusts for added shimmer and dimension. You might also want to check out my 3-D Christmas ornament cookie videos (here and here) where I use embossed cookies to decorate contoured cookie globes.

Thanks so much - it's good to know they are reaching people! Sometimes I feel like I'm tossing them into a black hole, especially on Facebook these days.
Such beautiful work, I am in awe as always. May I ask, what do you do with all your beautiful pieces once finished? I can't imagine anyone would eat them!

Most get produced for videos and cookie decorating classes, so they are handled a lot in the process and rarely get consumed afterwards because of that. I still have this box on display in my kitchen and will sometimes display other stuff until I tire of it, but most get thrown out after the shoots if not eaten by my husband. Shelters won't take them once handled either.
