My first time posting on Cookies Connection! My inspiration for Japan is unlimited. Since I was a child, I read a lot of Japan manga, watched many Japan cartoon. Some of them are still my favorite. To me, Japan is a land of beautiful culture, polite and discipline people, amazing landscape. I plan to go to Japan next year but as a mother of two, my time is limited. Thanks to Cookies Connection's challenge, I could express my love to Japan through my cookies. My cookies set content of 5, each of them express a unique culture of Japan: Samurai, Koi lantern, Kimono/Geisha, Sumo and the most famous place in Japan - Fuji mountain with Sakura flowers.
These cookies are all free hand painted. I had great time making them!

Wonderful entry and cookies - especially the handpainted woman to the left! I love her details! Just a quick reminder about posting to our challenges. Entry photos need to go into the Practice Bakes Perfect challenge clip set/category in order to be officially entered. Otherwise, our challenge host @Bakerloo Station and the "judges" may overlook them. I added this one to that clip set, but please remember this for the future.
I also hate to do this, as you have clearly put a lot of love, talent and enthusiasm into these cookies . . . but I have to remind you of our copyright rules too and ask you some questions about the source art that you used. I noticed you linked off to many different sources of art, but linking off is only one part of what we require. We do not allow the copying and posting of copyrighted art here unless you received permissions from the original artist to use his/her art in this way, OR the work you copied is in the public domain (i.e., this generally happens when the art was done many years ago and the artist has passed on). Do you know if the art you copied is copyrighted (I suspect some or all of it is) and did you receive permissions from the artists to copy and use it here?
This rule is not only a rule of the site; it is grounded in US copyright law. I sincerely hope you secured all of the necessary permissions, as otherwise this clip will need to be removed from the challenge and the site. And I would hate to see it go.
Please review the site's posting rules, which explain this matter in great detail. They came in your site signup letter and in the auto-email you get after posting photos to the site. They can also be found under "Please Read Before You Post" at the top of the "Clips" page. Thanks for your understanding.

I agree 100% with Julia. This is an amazing set of cookies, and I am so glad you have entered the challenge. HOWEVER, if your designs were used without permission from the original artists, then they violate the site's copyright restrictions (which are only an iteration of US copyright law). Please let us know if you have obtained the necessary permissions. Otherwise, very unfortunately, we must remove your entry from the challenge and the site.
