Blooming Orchid

These orchid flowers are molded and hand painted. This time I used pure marzipan, hence the beige color of the flowers. I also painted them with pretty thick paint. Thin color would have rolled off due to the fat in the marzipan!
Beneath the orchid flower is a double butter cookie filled with jam.
The orchid leaves are hand-shaped and naked painted cookies.
Since the flower is a finished mold, they were of course quite easy to make.

Do you mean the dewdrops in the background? This is a napkin, I put cling film over it and attached the flower cookies and the leaf cookies to the cling film with icing. The stem is a green napkin rolled up and shaped.

Yes, I thought the drops might be on a cookie background, but now I see more clearly! 😀
