I used wafer paper, which I colored with food coloring pens , as the wings. I've never used wafer paper, or food coloring pens, before. Learning as I go.

It seems that "things with wings" are perfectly suited to wafer paper, no? You did a great job here of positioning the wings. Did you have to prop them up while the royal icing bodies dried?

Thank you Bakerloo Station. Yes, I did. I used other cookies, and decorating tips to prop the larger cookies - the two little ones didn't need propping.
