One of the mexican traditions from "Día de Muertos" (Day of the Dead) includes the famous "calaveras de azúcar" (sugar skulls). The original ones are made entirely of sugar. Mine are decorated cookies
BTW, Día de Muertos is a celebration of love, when we remember our loved ones that went to the other side. Traditional belief is that the dead come back in spirit to be with us, so we offer them their favorite foods, beverages and toys.
