I wanted a cookie airbrushing station that wouldn't take up too much space. Overspray even with airbrushing on cookies is pretty substantial. My kitchen counter and even the wall on the side would get color on.Normally I use a box but then thought of this idea - using gift boxes, it takes seconds to put together and the best part is that it stores flat so I can put it away and it doesn't collect dust.

you can check it out in action here

Thanks for the idea!  At the first Cookiecon bearfoot baker showed how to make one with three oblong cake boards.  I am always amazed by how much spray gets on the boards.  Your idea has the advantage of covering the table.  Thanks again!

Smartypants!  I was thinking about using a banker's box to airbrush in.  I never thought about using gift boxes.  Since airbrushing an adorable green buffalo plaid on St. Patrick's day shamrock cookies -  I still have green airbrush coloring showing up on my paper towels every time I clean and polish my granite countertops and glass top kitchen table and even my family room glass top coffee table, sofa table and end table!  EGADS!
