My first makeup set was for my mom in 2015. She loves makeup and loved the cookies...but I was never quite happy with how her set turned out. I just completed a makeup set this week for a client and I am very proud of these! In my first set, I had to handcut the lipstick, blush brush, mascara and eyeshadow applicator...it was way too large and out of proportion. For the new set, I used a guitar cookie cutter and handcut it for the blush brush and eyeshadow applicator. I now have a lipstick cutter too. I handpainted the eyeshadow pallette, decided not to use harsh black, and finished off the entire set with a pearl airbrush color. The handpainted elements, stencils, airbrushing and pretty font complete the look. My client requested coral and mint green for the colors and I used pink for my mom's set. I hope to continue learning new techniques.
I love both sets. I think the second set looks better because of how you set up the cookies in the photography. The picture is much clearer and cleaner then the first .Sometimes less is more . I hope you don't mind my comment. I mean it in the kindest way

I definitely agree Anne Marie! I still struggle with good food photography. This was such a great challenge to see how much we have all grown and the inspiration to continue to grow. Love you all!!
I think both sets are great, but I like the more subdued tones of your second set better. Switching from black to grey outlining really makes a difference! Also, clever, clever use of that trusty guitar cutter!
